Anna Szabo and Kerry Howell have been friends for nearly 20 years. When they first met working at a law firm, the two gals bonded over their passion for makeup and their desire to leave the corporate culture.
Anna, a true Aussie with the spirit of adventure, went out and created a private label cosmetics business, making products for some of the biggest Asian and Australian companies. Kerry, a former model and makeup artist, went on to get married. They kept in touch over the years and talked often about creating their own line.
Anna’s husband, a special effects colour technician one day introduced the two to non traditional colour pigments. This began the Glitter Gal's quest to create a unique colour line inspired by the spirit of Australia.
“We began mixing our own formulas and started selling our products online. We got a phenomenal response from the blogging community. We knew immediately that we were on to something unique. We wanted to produce proprietary quality formulas with quick to market lead times. We knew that doing so would take a big investment. We dove head first by taking our retirement savings to create our own labs and buying manufacturing equipment. We've Made a lot of sacrifices, and its been a long ride, but we've never once looked back!" says Anna optimistically. "That's the Aussie way!"

Glitter Gal Australia sent me to test their holographic nail polishes, Turbulence and the new release, Transfusion.
These nail polishes are Formaldehyde free, DPB free, and Toluene free. Ohh, did I mention I love the fact they don`t contain harmful ingredients?
Turbulence
Transfusion
Turbulence
Transfusion
I can tell you they are the best nail polishes I`ve tried so far. They are smooth, even and flow like butter. They all cover in two coats perfectly. They are very pigmented, last a lot, you don`t need a top coat cause they are very shinny and they dry very fast, like in a minute (without joking). A high intensity multi-chromatic 3D/Holographic effect which captures light and reflects a full spectrum of vivid colour. Formulated with the highest blend of ingredients to create the most superior product available today on the international nail polish market. All around great formula and application.
I just love the holographic nail polishes and I`m glad I`ve finally had the chance to try them. It`s like a rainbow on my nails.
If you would like to try the holographic effect nail polishes, you can buy them from here. The Transfusion is at the price of 11,95$ and Turbulence 17,95$. These polishes are totally worth the high price tag.
What you think of them? Did you try those kind of nail polishes so far?

Cherry Box is a beauty box, full of surprises and you can receive it every month by subscription or you can order it just for once.
I was very curious about it, after I knew it is very popular in the USA, so I bought it just once. But after I saw what`s inside, for sure it will not be the last.
The price for the mysterious box is 10 euro/month, but if you subscribe for 3 months it will cost you 30 euro and so on.
The attraction is that you don`t know from before what will be inside the box. And it is also a chance to try companies and products and make an opinion whether to buy them for the future or not.
The box contains 5-7 beauty products, make up, skin or body nourishing, hair therapies etc. When you order the box you will fill a form with your personal info about your skin or hair type, favorite colors etc., so you can have suitable products.
The charm of the Cherry Box is the curiosity, the impatience, the wonder, the pleasure you feel when you open it and discover the goodies.
My July-August Cherry Box had 6 products inside, both normal and travel size and when I opened it was just smelling divine.
Those are the products I found inside:
1. Castalia-Sensial Nettoyant Surgras (100ml) - foaming cleansing gel for face and body without soap. It is gentle and suitable for summer, without drying the skin.
Price: 200 ml-12,70 euro
2. Laura Mercier Foundation Primer (15ml) - it is enough size for trying it few times. It is the best seller of the company, but the price is a little high, that`s why I am glad I can test it like this. The critics for this product are the best. It is a creamy gel base and you use it before the application of the foundation. It contains antioxidants to help protect the skin from premature ageing.
Price: 50ml-36,90 euro
3. Laura Mercier Lip Glace (Bare Beige) - it is a very shinny nude lip gloss which moisturizes and protects the lips, leaving a unique, not sticky feel.
Price: 27 euro
4. Keune-Shaping Fibres (30ml) - styling product for shaping the hair with mandarin scent. I got inlove with this product, I love it cause it`s not sticky and leaves the hair very shinny.
Price: 100ml-14,60 euro
5. Elixir London Nail Polish (#159) - a lovely pastel shade, perfect for the summer months. It lasts very much and dries quickly (60 seconds).
Price: 4 euro
6. Knikati Accesories Summer Necklace with Swarovski.
The sum for all the products is around 40 euro, although you pay just 10, so I believe it`s worthy.
I`m super happy I had the chance to try Laura Mercier products, which we all know are very expensive.
I decided I will go for another box, I only hope to not become addicted:)
If you live in Greece you can buy it from here, if you live somewhere else I`m sure there are beauty boxes like this in your country.
Did you try something similar so far? Do you like this idea? What`s your opinion?

I was sent a book named The Skin Regime – Boot Camp for Beautiful Skin written by Dana Ramos as well as a sample of a glycolic peel to test out. Dana Ramos is a professional skin care guru, beauty expert, and a writer from New York.
This book presents the truth about skincare and the lies from the beauty industry. Bottom line--You CAN reverse sun damage and aging and get fabulous skin with a routine you create at home, using inexpensive products available at drugstores or on-line.
Why most products are junk and a huge waste of time and money. Direct and humorous, the book instructs how to create a personalized regime based on products and advice most dermatologists recommend for their patients. The truly skin-transforming ingredients that really work to make gorgeous skin. You won't find the truth in beauty magazines because they exist to advertise lotions and potions made by the over-priced cosmetic industry. At a fraction of the cost, and spending only minutes per week, you can get similar or better results using some of the exact ingredients dermatologists use and recommend to their patients-such as glycolic acid, tretinoin creams, and other cosmeticals that really get the job done.
Five percent of book revenues is being donated to The Skin Cancer Foundation (skincancer.org).
Visit TheSkinRegime.com and read the first 30 pages of the book for free!!!
I don`t have big problems with my skin, but a face boost is always welcome. The thought of doing a glycolic acid peel at home was a bit intimidating. I am so glad that I have tried the peel because my skin is brighter and clearer than it has been in a very long time. My first peel had small percentage of glycolic acid, so I didn`t have negative side effects, except a little redness and itching which is normal in this case. But I would like to try all the 6 weeks regime and see the final results:)
*I advice you to read the book for all the necessary details before using the peel!
One lucky reader will win a copy of Dana Ramos` book and one sample Glycolic Acid Peel. Just complete the Rafflecopter form below.
a Rafflecopter giveaway
The Giveaway will end 10 of July. IT IS OPEN INTERNATIONALLY. The winner will be chosen randomly.
GOOD LUCK!
*UPDATE: The winner is...Bidisha Banerjee. Congratulations!!
