Be Glossy In and Out!

I believe that this year`s ceremony was much better having Neil Patrick Harris as host, but the outfits that paraded on the red carpet were a little disappointing, although I noticed that some of them were more simple and elegant than ever, which I love it. Judging by the colors of the outfits, I noticed a lot of pink, blue and lots of combinations of white and black.

Below is a selection of the best dresses in my opinion:

Pantone is giving us a glimpse into the dominating colors we’ll see in the next year. 

You’ll find many shades of blue on the list, but the Dazzling Blue ranks number one, being the color of 2014. Dazzling Blue is the color of Facebook logo. So, it will be mandatory for all of us to have this color in our wardrobes.

Violet Tulip came in second and Radiant Orchid landed third. The other 2014`s colors in the list are: Celosia Orange, Hemlock, Freesia, Paloma and Sand. 

Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Color Institute’s executive director, tells WWD that the season’s colors are all about maintaining equilibrium. “The world still needs the stability of soft neutrals but we’re not just talking about gray, beige, and taupe.” All you have to do to reach this perfect color balance is mix your favorite bold colors with a little gray and tan. Don’t hesitate to redefine what neutral means to you.

I am not so enthusiastic about the blue shades as they are not my favs, but I am very glad about the purple ones, which I started to use even from this year.

What you believe of the Autumn-Winter Handbag Trends this year? Which style is more close to you?

Anna Szabo and Kerry Howell have been friends for nearly 20 years. When they first met working at a law firm, the two gals bonded over their passion for makeup and their desire to leave the corporate culture.

Anna, a true Aussie with the spirit of adventure, went out and created a private label cosmetics business, making products for some of the biggest Asian and Australian companies. Kerry, a former model and makeup artist, went on to get married. They kept in touch over the years and talked often about creating their own line.

Anna’s husband, a special effects colour technician one day introduced the two to non traditional colour pigments. This began the Glitter Gal's quest to create a unique colour line inspired by the spirit of Australia.

“We began mixing our own formulas and started selling our products online. We got a phenomenal response from the blogging community.  We knew immediately that we were on to something unique.We wanted to produce proprietary quality formulas with quick to market lead times. We knew that doing so would take a big investment. We dove head first by taking our retirement savings to create our own labs and buying manufacturing equipment. We've Made a lot of sacrifices, and its been a long ride, but we've never once looked back!" says Anna optimistically. "That's the Aussie way!"
